Playing on a league is one of the best ways to network and get to know your fellow members. In 2017, we will be offering 23 different leagues. These leagues are geographically located all over the Chicago Metro area and are suitable for a wide range of golfing abilities (see Golfer Ability Levels).
Members who attend our Kickoff event on March 24 , 2018 will receive priority with regard to league registration. Also, if a league fills up, we will use seniority (date member joined EWGA) to determine who gets into the league. Site captains will email league players after Kickoff with a registration passcode. Passcodes will remain active for a week (through Saturday, March 31, 2018). League registration will be open to everyone on Sunday, April 1, 2018. Session 2 leagues will open for registration on June 1, 2018.
If you are new to EWGA and don't feel quite ready to join a league or if your schedule doesn't permit you to make a commitment to a league, no worries, try being a substitute! It's easy and its a fun way to get to know a lot of other golfers while playing a variety of courses in the Chicago Metro area. There are several ways to participate in the league substitute program. If you attend our Spring Kick Off, you can sign up in person to be a league substitute. Otherwise, you can email the league site captain (contact information is contained in the league information page). The league players will receive a list of substitutes and will email them whenever they need a substitute. You can also check our Sub or Golf Partner Message Board for additional opportunities to play. Once you have contacted the golfer who needs the substitute, you can make arrangements with them directly concerning the details of the round - cost, location tee time etc.. Being a substitute is a terrific way to find a game that fits your schedule and ability level without making a time commitment to a league.
All payments must be for the full league amount. No refunds for cancellations will be given once the league numbers have been guaranteed to the golf course. Please contact the respective site captain for more information. For more information on league policies and procedures, see Chicago Metro Chapter Policies and Procedures for Leagues. Please contact the site captain or Leagues Chair, Mary Ogle, if you have any questions on any of the leagues listed below or are interested in being placed on the substitute list for a specific league.
