Chicago Metro Chapter Policies and Procedures
Below are the policies and procedures for participating in the events, education opportunities, and leagues offered by the Chicago Metro Chapter.

Event Policies
| Payments | Members can pay by credit card through PayPal at the time of online sign-up or by sending a check to our Billing Coordinator no later than two weeks prior to the event. If payment is not received, your registration at the event may be cancelled. |
| PayPal Usage | We are happy to offer the convenience of online payment with credit cards through PayPal. Please note that any service fees PayPal charges us for unexpected transactions, such as reversal of payment from your credit card company, will be charged back to the member. Please contact our Treasurer or Billing Coordinator if you have any questions on this policy. |
| Refunds | Event payments are non-refundable within four weeks of the event. If registration is cancelled more than four weeks before an event, a refund will be issued. A $15 processing fee will be deducted from the refund. |
| Pairings | Members may request to play with one friend at an event. Requests for foursomes will not be honored unless otherwise specified. In tournament play, requests to play with a particular member or in a specific foursome (excluding Scramble events) will not be honored. New golfers may request to play with other new golfers. |
| Substitutes | Substitutes are allowed if you are unable to attend an event. Contact the Event Coordinator to let them know that you have a substitute. The substitute should pay you directly. |
| Guest Policy | Guests may participate in most events. Check the event description to determine if guests are allowed. Guests will be charged a higher fee for participation. The only event that does not have a higher guest fee is the Member/Guest event which is an opportunity for potential members to experience EWGA golf. |
Education Policies

| Refunds | Education payments are non-refundable unless the event does not fill and is cancelled by the chapter or the golf pro. In this case, refunds will be paid in full. If there is a waitlist for an Education opportunity, a player who requests a cancellation will receive a full refund if someone on the waitlist fills their position. No refunds are available for absences. |
| Substitutes | Substitutes are allowed if you are unable to attend an education opportunity. Contact the Education Coordinator to let them know that you have a substitute. The substitute should pay you directly. A player who is unable to attend can also check with the education coordinator to see if there is anyone on the waitlist who can fills their position. |
| Guest Policy | In most cases, guests may not participate in our education opportunities. This is a benefit of being a member of the EWGA Chicago Metro Chapter. However, we may offer education opportunities that are open to both members and non-members. |
League Policies
| Payments | Members can pay by credit card through PayPal at the time of online sign-up or by sending a check to our Billing Coordinator. Members who attend our Kick-off event have first preference in signing up for leagues until the Monday after the Kick-off. Open registration is available after that until the league is full. All payments must be for the full league amount and must be received three weeks prior to the first league play date. |

| Refunds | League deposits are non-refundable. No refunds for cancellations will be given once the league numbers have been guaranteed to the golf course. Please contact the respective site captain for more information. |
| Rain Out Policy | In the event that a league date is rained out, the rain check policy for that golf course applies. The Site Captain will work with the golf course to determine if a rain check will given or if the date will be rescheduled. |
| Pairings | Site Captains will normally determine pairings for league play. |
| Substitutes | League players will not receive a refund for the sessions that they do not attend. If a substitute is found, the substitute should pay the league player directly. The fee is the average cost of the session. Site Captains are not responsible for collecting green fees from substituting players. |
| Guest Policy | A non-member may play in a league ONLY ONCE in a season as a guest. This includes substitutes, even if they are playing for another member and reimbursing the green fees. Further league participation requires membership in EWGA. |
